  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/3 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup self rising flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder (sifted)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sour cream

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease an 8 inch bundt pan.
    2. Cream butter, vanilla and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well between additions. Fold in flour and cocoa powder, alternating with milk. Add sour cream and mix until just combined. Transfer to prepared pan and bake for 1 hour, or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 5 mins then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
    3. Meanwhile, to make the sour cream ganache, whisk together chocolate and sour cream in a medium heatproof bowl. Place over a double boiler and stir until smooth and melted. If ganache becomes too thick, add boiling water to thin out. Drizzle over cake.
