  • 5 strawberries (about a handful)
  • 1/2 cup milk (your favorite, almond or other plant milk for a vegan smoothie)
  • 3 tablespoons protein powder (I used hemp protein powder or you can use your favorite protein powder)
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (stay on the lower end with 1/2 Tbsp for a milder chocolate flavor, more for a stronger flavor)
  • ice (optional – add ice to thicken and/or make the smoothie colder)
  • maple syrup (this is optional to sweeten, add up to 1 tsp)
