quite tricky to do as the recipe follows... as the chocolate hardens in contact woth the whites... normally u fold whites in chocolate, not other way around

I melted more chocolate so it was darker and added a touch of liquor

Make sure you let the chocolate cool a bit before adding it to the egg mixture or it might seize up on you.

It was really good but 4 servings is a bonkers thing to say for this recipe. It makes a lot!!!

It turned out great! I used Andes Mints instead of normal chocolate to add a minty kick to it. I made a double batch so I used less salt and didn’t add sugar since the Andes Mints were already sweetened. Definitely will make it again.

Not sure what I did wrong. It turned out a bit more salty then I prefer and it wasn’t as stiff as it should have been.

Absolutely delicious. As someone who doesn't have much cooking experience it was easy to make. I used a mix of 60 and 70% chocolate but I think next time I used either all 70% or majority 70%

Turned out wonderfully, and everyone asked me to make it again.

It's very light and indeed very easy to make. If you can fold, you've got it! The salt in this recipe is important and really sets the other flavors off well. Might try a slightly more complex flavor profile next time. Boyfriend loved it but I felt like it needed a little something.

Fabulous dessert but would make 8 servings rather than 4 as us very rich. Top with a swirl of whipped cream & shaved chocolate for contrast of texture. Will be on my list of favourites!!

Love it wasn't too rich. I left out the sugar as the dark chocolate was already sweet . 😊😊😊😊😊😊

This was a very easy recipe, and the chocolate mousse was tasty! I cut the amount of sugar in half and added kahlua instead of vanilla extract for extra flavor. However, the color of this mousse was closer to gray instead of chocolate brown. Also, it is absolutely necessary that you cool the chocolate at room temperature. If you try to cool it in the fridge or freezer, it will clump up in your mousse and mess up the consistency. In addition, make sure the chocolate is fully incorporated into the meringue before adding the "cold" whipped cream to avoid consistency problems as well. My mousse wasn't as smooth as I liked because I tried to take a short cut and cool the chocolate faster even though I knew better. However, that was my fault and not the recipe's.

The best dessert recipe ever! I only had semisweet chocolate so I cut down the sugar by a lot (I think you could almost eliminate it altogether if using sweetened chocolate, and if you don't like your desserts sweet)
