- 3 Tbsp. cocoa powder
- 1 cup caster sugar (or granulated)
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. white wine vinegar
- 1 tsp. essence (peppermint, or extract, UK: something like Dr.Oetker peppermint extract works fine.)
- 5 Tbsp. vegetable oil (plain)
- 1 cup water
- 100 grams chocolate chips (non-dairy, or smashed-up chocolate)
- 1/4 cup soya cream
- almond milk
- 50 grams margarine (vegan hard, like Tomor, could substitute coconut oil or vegetable oil)
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla essence (or extract)
- 1/2 tsp. essence (peppermint, or extract)
- 1 cup icing sugar (but use more if needed)
