- 1/2 cup brown rice flour (sprouted)
- 1/2 cup white rice flour
- 1/4 cup arrowroot starch
- 1/4 cup tapioca flour
- 1/2 tsp. xanthan gum
- 3 Tbsp. organic sugar (or organic sucanat)
- 8 Tbsp. butter (very cold or frozen pasture, cut into 8 chunks)
- 1 tsp. apple cider vinegar (organic)
- 1 tsp. gluten free vanilla extract
- 5 Tbsp. ice (cold filtered water)
- 1 cup dried beans (used during the baking process, not in the crust)
- 1 egg white (+ 1/2 teaspoon filtered water - optional, for sealing the crust)
- 4 egg whites (organic or pastured, room temperature {reserve the yolks})
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tarter
- 1/3 cup organic sugar (or 1/4 cup light colored honey*)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract (organic)
- 4 Tbsp. cacao powder (organic)
- 4 Tbsp. corn starch (organic non-GMO)
- 4 egg yolks (organic or pastured)
- 2 cups whole milk (organic, raw or grass-fed)
- 1/2 tsp. sea salt
- 1/2 cup honey (light colored, {I used a local clover honey})
- 1/3 cup chocolate chips (allergy-free, or chopped chocolate bar)
- 4 Tbsp. butter (pasture)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract (organic)
