Description
While these snow-capped chocolate treats are a favorite on holiday cookie platters, we think they have a place in the cookie jar year-round! The recipe is a Yummly original created by Sara Mellas.
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/3 cups unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2/3 cup powdered sugar

Directions
- Line two baking sheets with silicone baking mats or parchment paper. Set aside.
- Place the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a medium bowl. Use a hand mixer to beat on medium speed until well combined, about 1 minute.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract and continue to beat until smooth, about 30 seconds.

I’ve actually tried multiple crinkle cookie recipes and my cookies always go flat! This recipe was the best one I’ve ever made.. my cookies came out perfect.. lol just like the picture. Freezing them is the key.

I used wax paper as a substitute for parchment paper so that might have given it a smoky tatse hahaha. Other than that they didn't come out like perfectly round balls like in the picture so...
Edit: Just made it a second time using parchment paper and the cookies actually look like the ones in the picture. They come out like that if you leave them in there long enough or else they still look really powdery.
