these cookies are my favorite from childhood, and only at Christmas. And they still are! i make them all the time...dont leave out the espresso, or the cookies will taste dull. this recipe is by far my favorite and my go to. And make sure you roll the cookies in both sugars because the granulated sugar keeps the powered sugar from being absorbed into the cookies and thats what makes them crack and pretty! enjoy

Mine flattened out quite a bit but they were delicious. I'll definitely be making them again.

These tasted super great. My cookies weren’t as solid but more malleable (like truffles that haven’t fully set) when I scooped them. I put them in the fridge until it hardened a little more so my cookies didn’t turn out as flat. Aside from it not being fluffy the first round baking it, the taste was amazing !
