- 1 1/3 cups sugar
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 cups almond (or Coconut Milk plus 2 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar, allow to sit for 10 minutes)
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup oil (your choosing)
- 1 1/4 cups unsweetened applesauce
- 1 cup vegan margarine (such as Earth Balance, softened)
- 3 cups powdered sugar (add more if too thin)
- 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup almond (or Coconut Milk, you may not want all of this if you prefer a thicker consistency)
- 1/4 cup vegan semisweet chocolate chips (look for Dairy Free Chips)
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
