Brilliant cake!
I halved the water as it looked a good consistency with half a cup

Reliable chocolate cake recipe. Easy to follow instructions. The cake is rich, moist and very chocolatey. Having used various quality cocoa I'd definitely advise a high grade cocoa to balance the taste of the oil, but the cheap stuff works too (use a lighter olive oil).

Turned out well- looks fudgy when you cut it but is quite light to eat. Only put chocolate butter icing in the middle. Could have put some on the top too (or Nutella) if you want it richer. Won’t last long! 😁

Mixture seemed moist but it turned out great! 30 mins was enough! use plain flour! would recommend!!
UPDATE: for a non chocolate version i replaced the cocoa powder with cornflour and just plain boiling water and they came out just as delicious!
