- 5 large egg yolks
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 cup half-and-half
- 8 oz. chocolate (finely chopped good quality, I used one 4-oz bar of Ghiardelli dark chocolate and one 4-oz bar of Ghiardelli semi-sweet chocolate - you may need to adjust amount of sugar depending on the chocolate you use)
- 1/4 cup heavy cream (for whipping)
