- 1 onion (medium)

- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
- 1 whole egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 3 thyme (springs of herbs, parsley, marjoram)
- 400 grams red kidney beans (1 can)
- 400 grams chopped tomatoes (1 can)
- 1 Tbsp. tomato purée
- 1/2 leek (small)
- 1 small onion
- 1 red pepper
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 celery sticks
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 tsp. honey
- 1 tsp. hot chilli powder (or 1 level tbsp mild chilli powder)
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1 beef stock cube
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp. marjoram (dried)
- 120 grams grated cheddar (optional)
- long grain rice (Plain boiled, to serve with)
- soured cream (to serve, optional)
- 1 red chilli (Thai, to decorate optional)
