- 12 chillies (– 16 small dried piri piri, I wimped out and used 6 dried red chillies)
- 2 garlic cloves (I used 4)
- 4 Tbsp. whisky (or brandy, I used brandy)
- 1 tsp. grated lemon zest (finely)
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 tsp. salt
- 500 mL oil
