- 1/2 green pepper (chopped)
- 1 small onion (chopped)
- 1 jalapeno (finely chopped, could remove seeds and membrane for less heat)
- 3 garlic cloves (finely chopped)
- 8 oz. tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup water (or chicken broth)
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. cumin powder
- 3 Tbsp. fresh cilantro (chopped)
- salt
- pepper
- 1 lb. tomatillos (remove husks and rinse well)
- 2 serrano peppers (or jalapeno peppers stems removed)
- 2 garlic cloves (peeled)
- 1 medium onion
- 1 handful cilantro
- salt (to taste)
