- 16 oz. pitted dates (Amport, chopped, best to buy whole, and chop by hand)
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 4 Tbsp. water
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 cups rice (or more if preferred, Cripies)

Directions
- Mix dates, butter, sugar, and water in a sauce pan and cook on medium until mix turn to a paste like consistancy
- Remove from heat, add rice crispies and vanilla
- Roll into balls and allow to cool.
- Roll in powdered sugar if desired

Delicious! I love this particular date ball recipe because it has no eggs. I added a little coconut and it was perfect.
