- 1 1/2 Tbsp. vegetable fat (I used Trex)
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 onion (medium, finely chopped)
- 100 grams asparagus (chopped into 1 inch pieces)
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 200 grams chopped tomatoes (tinned)
- 1 Tbsp. tomato puree
- 1 1/2 tsp. agave nectar
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. tamari sauce
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1/4 tsp. smoked paprika
- 200 mL water
- 120 grams chickpeas (lightly crushed)
- oil (for frying, you will need a good 2cm of height of oil in the pan, or these can cooked in a deep fat fryer)
