- 1/2 cup chickpea flour (superfine, besan or gram flour)
- 2 Tbsp. nutritional yeast
- 1 Tbsp. ground flax seeds
- 1 tsp. dried basil
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. turmeric
- 1/4 tsp. salt (–or to taste)
- 1/8 tsp. black salt (kala namak–optional, but gives an “eggy” flavor)
- black pepper (generous grinding of, to taste)
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 Tbsp. fresh chives (snipped, or 1 tablespoon minced onion)
- 1/2 red bell pepper (or green, chopped)
- 1 tomato (small, chopped, or handful of halved grape tomatoes, optional)
