A new family favorite secret short cut though Costco sells rotisserie chickens for $5 Take the skin off and chop the meat save the skin to brown in lieu of cooking the chicken And make sure you use apple CIDER , not apple cider vinegar!!

Not good at all. Apple cider vinegar should NOT ever go in chicken & Dumplings. Won’t make this recipe again.

Fantastic!!! I had never used Apple cider vinegar before and was quite taken back by that but, I have to say that it made the most amazing chicken and dumplings ever!!!!
I didn’t have any corn meal so I just used 2 cups of flour instead and the dumplings were still perfect!!

Omg I put alittle sage in dumplings and broth IT’S THE BOMB!!!!!!!!! I did whole chicken but there is waste so think I’ll try breast and thighs next time.

Soooo easy. Don’t bother with a whole chicken if you don’t have to. I just used cut up chicken breast this time and did boneless thighs previously. I didn’t have apple cider either and it still came out as good as the time I did put the cider.

Didn't care for the cornmeal in the dumplings. Other than that it was fine. Will try one more time with adjusted dumplings.

Very good. Keep dumplings small to avoid them seeming doughy and dense. Also, do not stir for a few minutes after dumplings are added so they don’t dissipate into the broth.

Turned out great. Only had boneless/skinless chicken but that was the only thing off from this recipe, put 1/2 cup chicken bone broth in.

The ultimate comfort food dish! I used rotisserie chicken instead of cooking the chicken myself. I then took the carcass and boiled it in the chicken stock.

Yummy. Perfect for the snowy, Sunday afternoon. Tasty, thick, and filling. I am adding this to the winter rotation.

Delicious (I cheat and use store bought rotisserie chicken though) This was my first chicken and dumplings recipe and I don’t need another
