- 4 strips bacon (diced, optional)
- 3 cups black beans (Mexican Style)
- 1 can baked beans (Bush's Vegetarian, or brown sugar to taste)
- 1 onion (medium, diced)
- 6 bell peppers (large, tops diced)
- 2 Tbsp. chili con carne (powder)
- 2 tsp. cumin powder
- 1 tsp. ground oregano
- 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning (if you use chicken or turkey)
- 3 cloves garlic (grated)
- 1/2 cup water
- red chili flakes (to taste)
- 1 cup grated cheese (I used Monterrey Jack)
