My turkey a la king turned out excellent. Husband said he liked it well enough to have is again. My problem was the puff pastry. Having never used these shells before I never got them baked enough. My husband said use biscuits the next time. My mother sometimes used toast.

I love this recipe! The only thing I changed is: I used boneless, skinless chicken breasts. I sauteed them with a bunch of garlic in 2 tbsp of salt-free butter & 1 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil. Then when they were done, I removed them from the pan with a slotted spoon. Then added my veggies & a small chopped onion. When the veggies were soft, that's when I added the broth. Made all the difference in the world! I also used half & half instead of heavy cream.
