Delicious & easy to make. We shredded roasted chicken breasts, which added extra flavor

Delish! Used a couple of pheasants in addition to chicken and it turned out Wunderbar!

Great meal. For me it was for four but one was a large, hungry and hard working 30 tear old (my SIL, not me ;) ).
I cubed the chicken instead of putting the halves in whole to ensure they were cooked and to allow them to tenderize. We like our’s a little spicier so added one jalapeño, halved, ends removed, deseeded but not deveined I also doubled the Chile powder and the heat was perfect. The avocado was served as a side along with a refried bean and cheese burrito. BIG meal. Loved by all.

It turned out great. I also added cerrano peppers and it had just a slight kick.

This recipe was super tasty! We added a little sour cream to the whole soup to make it creamy.

Hmmmm....I thought this was "okay". I've had better and more flavorful chicken tortilla soups for sure. I can't really pinpoint what was lacking in this recipe but I am surprised at all the 5 stars it has received.

Warmed me heart & soul! It was my first time making tortilla soup and I was happy with this recipe! It was easy and really good. I didn’t go exactly by recipe measurements( but approximately) And I added some black beans before chicken. And, fresh avocado for garnish.

Turned out great! I also added in a can of corn, black beans and a red bell pepper I had in the fridge.

Great recipe. My wife is Mexican and says it’s better than any restaurant. I tweak the recipe and add way more broth (low sodium) because she uses it as diet food lol!

Best Chicken Tortilla Soup I've ever had. Wonderful flavors, just enough spice, and a great tip to use avocado slices on top of the soup.

Easy and very tasty .I added 1/2 frozen corn and a 1/2 cup of drained and rinsed black beans. The lime I served in small slices to add according to tSte. I fried some more tortilla chips to top.

Easy to prepare and absolutely delicious! I fried extra tortilla strips as used them as a crispy garnish. My grandchildren, the picky teens, really enjoyed this soup. I topped each bowl with a lime wedge and a sprig of cilantro and served it in western printed bowls.
