- 8 garlic cloves (peeled)
- 3/4 cup fresh cilantro (chopped)
- 3/4 cup Italian parsley (chopped fresh, chopped)
- 2 cups onions (chopped, chopped)
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 2 Tbsp. paprika
- 4 tsp. grated lemon peel (grate lemons before making juice)
- 2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp. saffron threads
- 3/4 cup oil cured black olives (pitted)
- 1 1/2 lemons (thinly sliced)
- 1 1/2 cups water (– add when cooking)
