Turned out awesome! I couldn't find sweet paprika so I used hot Hungarian paprika and it had a nice little kick to it. totally forgot the sour cream...but didn't seem to miss it. I don't know if this recipe is authentic or not (ignorance) but it was good and I highly recommend.

Simple and tasty recipe. Even swapped out chicken for Quorn chunks for a vegetarian, that still tasted good.

I enjoyed it, but next time I will use a full 16 oz. of sour cream, separate the chicken into smaller bits, and use a little less cayenne. Great flavor to this simple dish!

This turned out to be amazing. I did make some modifications and it still turned out incredible. I used 1/4 cup of sour cream and probably 2 1/2 tbsp of regular paprika and then 1/2 tbsp of smoked paprika which gave it a nice Smokey hint in the back. Used chicken thighs cut up in chunks vs keeping whole. Everything stayed nice and juicy! Definitely making this again.

Yum! That was the reaction when this was served. I used less cayenne pepper than stated but otherwise I followed the recipe.

Delightful. Followed the recipe exactly with one modification to purée the vegetables because we like onion and pepper flavor but not the actual vegetables. Delicious and I will definitely make this again.

Can be done even quicker in the instant pot. I also put everything except the chicken in a blender to make it more saucy.

turned out well. i put this over egg noodles and substituted the cayenne for chili powder so the kids could enjoy it more. Also i got better results using a can of tomato sauce

Great! Was a little short on paprika and so it was a little spicy but great flavor.

It was very easy to make actually, I was skeptical about the 3onions so I used 2 and 2/3 of the last one but 3 is definetly the correct amount yeah. I used the hot paprika paste(2 table spoons) as well as the paprika powder(1/2 table spoon) Very easy to get here in hungary. Tbh I wasn’t expecting much from this such, but it was super super tasty. It tasted exactly the one I ate in a famous hungarian restaurant in Szeged . I didn’t have cayenne but the paste was spicy enough! I also didn’t add salt through out the cooking (except on the chicken as the recipe suggest) . The first hungarian dish I’ve made and will definitely make it again.

I loved this dish! I didn't like reduction of the veggies, so when I removed the chicken (I used breasts), I placed the contents in a mini-cuisinart then added the sour cream to the mixture. I tasted it and added a little more cayenne (we like it hot)! I added back in the chicken and served it over wide egg noodles. I'll definitely make this again!

I liked it, the rest of the family didn't. It was nicely spicy and delicious over buttered noodles.

Goes very well with buttered egg noodles. Only issue was that it was too spicy, but nothing a bit more sour cream can’t fix!

I would use less paprika next time, but other than that it was good. I had it with rice instead. I also added some Parmesan cheese on top.

So glad i cut back the amount of cayenne, it would have been too spicy for us. Going to thicken the sauce next time, but the flavor was good.
