I turned out VERY well! I did up the amount of black pepper, but that is my preference I country gravy! This is going in the recipe box for something different!

The recipe is a nice, easy, and delicious. This was the first time I’ve made CFS and gravy from scratch. The seasoning amounts were good for us. I just added salt to our tastes. I rarely follow recipes exactly. But I will follow this was as is and I’m sure I’ll make it many times in the future.

This was the first time we've made chicken fried steak, this recipe was delicious and easy to make. We had extra gravy, so we saved it and used it the next day with frozen chicken tenders. The gravy warmed up well (we used the microwave) and tasted just as good.

Will make this again. Kids loved it!! It was really easy to make. Did not make this gravy though, used my own county gravy recipe.

I really didn’t like the over powering sessions it took away from the gravy and the fried steak. If I make this again I will not have the same gravy.

It was good. I scooped 1/4 cup of the flour/spice mixture (before dipping the meat in it) for the gravy instead of making another blend all over.

Was delicious
The gravy is a little darker and my spices are more spicy but I loved it!!

Great. Use less oil. Don’t go flour, egg , flower go corn starch, egg, flour.

Great flavor! I’ve always just used pepper and flour but the cajon spice does so much more for the taste!

Made this for dinner last night and my 13 year old not only went back for seconds (as did everyone else) but was practically licking the plate after that! I did omit the cajun seasoning simply because I didn't have any on hand and I made "poor man's chicken fried steak" .. meaning I used 2 pounds of hamburger meat instead of actual cube steak - again, what I had on hand.
One heads up that I wasn't expecting based on the photo here: the addition of the paprika to the gravy makes the gravy very pink in coloring. There's nothing wrong with that, it just is different than what was pictured above. Tasty though!
