- 2 skinless chicken breasts (boneless and, about 12oz to 16 oz total)
- 1 1/2 cups flour (for dredging, you'll also need 1 tablespoon of the flour mixture later for the sauce...but we'll get to that later in the instructions.)
- kosher salt
- freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 4 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. Parmesan (grated)
- 4 Tbsp. fresh parsley (chopped, divided...2 tablespoons for batter, 2 for garnish, optional)
- 4 Tbsp. olive oil (divided...2 tablespoons for the chicken, and then 2 more for the sauce)
- 4 Tbsp. unsalted butter (divided...2 for the chicken, 2 for the sauce)
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes (more, to taste)
- 1/2 cup dry white wine (ie, Pino Grigio)
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 2 fresh lemons

This was delicious! I never thought to cook the chicken separate from the sauce, but it makes a huge difference! I will definitely be making this again

So good! Followed the recipe exactly and came out delicious. Best Chicken Francaise recipe out there!

The rating if for the chicken. I had to improvise when I made the sauce. I had used up all the flour for breading the chicken and forgot to keep some aside. I also didn’t have wine. To thicken the sauce, I tried some breadcrumbs and Parmesan but it didn’t do the trick, so I used sour cream. It came out delicious and creamy!

My husband and I loved this recipe. The chicken was so tender, and I loved the fresh lemon in the sauce. It does have a little prep work, The only thing I did different was I strained the sauce before I added the butter and then served it. Excellent!!

Loved it! But it took longer. Just plan in extra time and a Corning ware dish for the oven. I also like to slice a couple lemon slices for garnish.
