- 1 kg whole chicken (skinned, cut into medium pieces and left on the)
- 150 mL yoghurt (plain)
- 4 cloves garlic (crushed)
- 2 tsp. hot chilli powder (KTC extra)
- 1 tsp. turmeric
- 1 tsp. Garam Masala

- 6 Tbsp. ghee (KTC butter)
- 1 tsp. chilli powder
- 3 tsp. Garam Masala
- 4 cloves garlic (sliced)
- 5 cms ginger (piece of, washed and grated)
- 5 green chillies (medium, whole)
- 5 cardamom pods
- 5 cms cinnamon stick
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper corns
- 200 grams chopped tomatoes (KTC tinned)
- 100 mL natural yoghurt
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 bunch fresh mint (chopped and some set aside for garnish, optional)
- 1 bunch coriander (roughly chopped and some set aside for garnish, optional)
- salt (to taste)
- 550 grams basmati (soaked for 35 minutes then drained)
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 5 cloves
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 black pepper corns
- 10 green cardamom pods
- 3 cardamoms (black)
- 5 cms cinnamon stick
- 1/2 tsp. saffron (dissolved in half a cup of warm water and set aside)
- 1/4 tsp. rose water
- 150 mL water
- salt (to taste)

Tasted amazing. I decided to be lazy and not bake it, just serve chicken over rice and i loved it

Authentic, very good recipe, although it could have been written better (there are discrepancies between the ingredient list and the method, overall a bit confusing).
