Description
Gilbert’s Craft Sausages "Froman" Uncured Beef Frank served Chicago-style is the absolute pinnacle of tubular meat consumption. The veritable salad placed atop the dog is complemented perfectly by the firm, meaty bite of this all-beef frank made with beef sirloin (and without those nasty things like sodium nitrite, MSG, and corn syrup solids). For the full experience wait for a sunny Summer day, crack open a cold Old Style, tune your TV to WGN around 1:20PM and catch a Cubs game while enjoying your Froman (if they happen to be winning, consider yourself truly blessed). Ingredients
- 1 sausages (Gilbert's Craft, Froman Uncured Beef Frank)
- 1 bun (poppy seed)
- yellow mustard (to taste)
- relish (Rolf's Neon, to taste)
- onions (Chopped, to taste)
- 2 tomato (wedges)
- 1 pickle spear
- 2 peppers (sport)
- celery salt (optional)
Directions
- First, heat your Froman Uncured Beef Frank. The traditional method is to steam the dog, which is easily accomplished by simply microwaving your Froman for 20-30 seconds, in the wrapper. This will heat the dog through, while keeping it nice and juicy. If you prefer a crispy, grilled dog, that's perfectly acceptable as well. Place on a medium-high grill, turning frequently until you reach the desired level of "char".
- Place Froman in poppy-seed bun and apply the following condiments, in this order: mustard, neon relish, chopped onions, tomato wedges, pickle spear (between bun and frank), sport peppers, and a dash of celery salt (optional).
- Remember, NK-18 (No Ketchup if you're Over 18)!
