We used only 1/2 tsp of each spice, we added 1/2 cup more flour because we did not chill dough.
The fact that the cookies are soft made them perfect for Ice Cream Cookies! We got 11 sandwiches 😀

Just wow!
This recipe is an upgrade from a previous version we had been making for the past decades. There's only a slight difference in the flour sugar ratio and it turned this cookie much softer.
We also had an older bottle of molasses that really intensified the whole flavor platform.
Before we had to eat them with coffee or milk. Now they don't need to be softened. They still go great with coffee.

Great!
No modification, but could put a spoon of raspberry jelly in the middle

Excellent and easy recipe. Although I would recommend skipping that lady roll in sugar, not needed at all. And in my old oven I gave it another 5 minutes for a slightly crispy outside . Definitely a keeper!
