  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup demerara sugar (or packed light brown sugar)
  • 1 1/4 cups plain yogurt
  • 1 1/4 cups mascarpone cheese
  • 2 tablespoons ginger (in syrup, drained and chopped)
  • 1 pound cherries (halved and pitted)

    Directions

    1. Combine sesame seeds and rolled oats in a small skillet. Toast on medium heat for 5 mins, shaking pan frequently, until lightly browned. Remove from pan; cool. Mix well with sugar.
    2. Gently combine yogurt and mascarpone in a medium bowl until smooth. Stir in chopped ginger.
    3. Divide cherries among 4 serving bowls or glasses. Top with yogurt mixture. Sprinkle with sesame seed and oat topping. Serve immediately.
