  • 2 green peppers (large, cut in half, seeds removed)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 onion (sliced)
  • 1/2 green pepper (sliced)
  • 1 package steaks (frozen, usually includes 12 slices of steak)
  • salt
  • pepper
  • onion powder
  • garlic powder
  • 8 slices cheese (American or Provolone)
  • 4 tablespoons pizza sauce

    I made this but with some significant mods. I cooked around 200g of steak in along with onions in olive oil and canned roasted garlic tomato sauce - about 7 - 8 oz (1/2 a 14 oz can). After awhile, added some mushrooms and some chopped red bell pepper, salt, pepper, a splash of Worcestershire sauce & dash of white wine & 4-5 leaves of fresh basil. Spooned mixture into 2 bell pepper halves lined with cheese on the bottom and topped with cheese, then broiled for 3-6 min. I would have had enough mixture to stuff another pepper but instead put the rest alongside some pierogies for a leftover lunch :)
