- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. ground allspice
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/3 cups white sugar (granulated)
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar (light or dark)
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup plain yogurt (I use nonfat, and it's fine)
- 3/4 cup canola oil (or vegetable)
- 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar (sifted lightly to remove any lumps)

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick ,at room temperature)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
