- 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. xanthan gum (or guar)
- 1/2 cup butter (softened)
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1 vanilla extract (teapsoon)
- 1 large egg (room temperature)
- 1 Tbsp. cream cheese (softened, optional - adds a little something extra to the texture!)
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (choice)
- sea salt (optional, for sprinkling)
