- 1 cup buttermilk (or whole milk + 1 Tbsp white vinegar)
- 2 tea bags (black, I use Yorkshire Gold)
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 cup butter (softened)
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 Tbsp. spice blend (chai, to taste, to make, see recipe above)
- 6 large eggs (at room temperature)
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 cup confectioners sugar
- 2 Tbsp. whole milk
