  • 3/4 cup unsalted cashews (roasted)
  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or tenderloins, cut into 1-1/2 inch pieces)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 6 garlic cloves (medium, minced)
  • 8 scallions (1 bunch, white and green parts separated, each cut into 1-inch pieces)
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons hoisin sauce (best quality such as Kikkoman or Lee Kum Kee, use gluten-free if needed)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (use gluten-free if needed)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil (Asian)

    So delicious! I added a cup of sugar snap peas, a cup of celery, and a cup of carrots and served over rice.

    Great flavor. Easy to make.
    Make extra batch of sauce on the side. Made my own hoisen sauce from Left out hot sauce from recipe. So good. Does require so work and cleanup, easy to make but still involved.

    Turned out well. Bit too much hoisin sauce for my family’s taste but we’ll ease up on it next time. Even with that, tasted good, and was quick and easy.

    Great. I added a carrot, yellow bell pepper and shiitake mushrooms. Will definitely make again.
    Very tasty. Will add a few carrots and water chestnuts next time. Maybe a little more sauce

    I made this recipe recently. Used chicken tenderloin instead of breast. Didn’t care for the sauce, I continued to taste the rice vinegar, even though I only used the amount indicated in the directions. Might try it again with less rice vinegar.

    Very good recipe. Easy to make and tasty! I added a few dried red pepper flakes to give it a little heat. Will make again!
