This is a step up from your typical carrot cake. The creamy layers of cheesecake make it better alternative. I think next time I’d be curious to put the nuts in the cake batter as well to give it texture throughout. I made this at high altitude by slightly adjusting the baking powder to a little less and it worked great.

The combination cheese and carrot cake was phenomenal. I made 1 1/2 times the topping and spread 2/3 on before freezing, then the 1/3 left before adding the chopped pecans. Could not have turned out better. Watch the time 55-60 minutes is right on. Checked after 50 minutes, then finished with an additional five minutes. Definitely a “make again” recipe.

We love carrot cake and cheesecake...this was a good combination of the two! The dessert was beautiful to look at but more importantly, it was very tasty! This one is a keeper!

This really turned out great! I didn't mince the carrots as fine as I probably should have, but it turned out great anyway. There isn't anything I would change.
