Simple and delicious. Served with baked chicken and buttered peas. Doesn't need any other seasonings. I startered the carrots first, added half the butter to the water (only used enough water to just cover the carrots leaving enough space in the pan for the parsnips) and added the parsnips just as the carrots started to become fork tender. Very good and simple enough for busy weeknight dinners.

Simple and tasty. It has a natural sweetness. My dinner guests enjoyed it. Even my skeptical husband liked it!
