- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 cups unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup shortening (room temperature)
- 6 cups powdered sugar (7 cups if you prefer)
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 4 Tbsp. milk (more if desired but the buttercream should not be runny)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 16 oz. cream cheese (not low fat, room temperature)
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
