very yummy as is! i suggest turning the heat up a little bit to reduce the balsamic vinegar:)

my variation is I schiffonade the basil, and sprinkle it as I lay out the tomato and mozzarella. this gives me basil in every bite.

I used the exact same balsamic and didn’t get anything that remotely resembled thick after 40 minutes so I gave up. Instead I made a simple balsamic vinaigrette.
Don’t bother going through the effort, just make a salad.

Not very good the balsamic vinegar would not thicken! It was from Italy followed the directions and nothing.

Caprese was quite tasty. I don't think I reduced the balsamic long enough as it didn't have the desired consistency. Aside from that, an easy recipe with refreshing results
