This was my first time making this and this recipe was absolutely delicious. Brought it to a family meal and everyone raved about it.

my father in law LOVES these and insists on me making them for every holiday. I prefer a whole sweet potato to any sweet casserole, but i like this one because the nutmeg adds something extra. I don't measure, I just sprinkle it on; maybe that other reviewer used too much as it never seems overpowering to us.

I'm sorry to say this was a huge flop for our huge family Thanksgiving! i bring candied yams every year and wanted to change it up a bit and experiment. this recipe at it's fullest, with nutmeg, was SOOO overpowering! The first cut into the dish overwhelmed the whole room with spice. It was also very very low on sweetness and butter. I would not recommend this. use like 4 times the sugar, a dash of nutmeg, half a stick of butter and layer it all! Don't just sprinkle it on the top.

delicious they came out great. i didnt have any nutmeg so i used cinnamon instead so good!!!!

It was just like my mawmaws yams! I added half a cup of sweetened condensed milk to it and used a hand mixer to get a smoother texture. Happy thanksgiving everyone!!

Loved this recipe!!! It wasn’t sweet enough for me, but I’m making it for thanksgiving and I’ll add a little more sugar and cinnamon!
