  • 1 andouille sausage (about ½ pound, sliced into rounds)
  • 2 tablespoons creole spice mix (cajun/, adjust to your spice/heat level)
  • olive oil
  • 1/2 medium yellow onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 red bell pepper (thinly sliced)
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon creole spice mix (cajun/)
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic (finely chopped, 1 large or 2 small)
  • 1/2 cup crushed tomatoes
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream (or ½ & ½, I prefer heavy cream!!)
  • 12 ounces fettuccine (or farfalle, bowties)
  • kosher salt
  • fresh cracked black pepper
  • grated Parmesan
  • chopped parsley

    Dont put crushed tomatoes in it. The sauce will not turn out thick like you think it would.

    Great recipe! My son is allergic to shrimp, so I left it out and increased the sausage. I am sure you could add chicken too. Came out delish!

    Wonderful and delicious! I don't cook and it still came out well. There was a little to much heat for me so I will ease up on the cayenne next time.

    It was really good! I added a bit more salt and pepper and added more heavy cream and chicken broth to make more sauce. I would definitely make this again. My family loved it!
    Husband and I made this together on our date night. Delicious! We added more Cajun seasoning because we like more of a kick. Definitely will make this again.
