  • 1 green bell pepper (large, seeded and diced, about 1 cup)
  • 2 celery stalks (large, diced, about 1 cup)
  • 12 ounces andouille sausage (Cajun style, quartered and diced, we used Aidells brand)
  • 2 tablespoons cajun seasoning (we used 2 because we like an extra kick!)
  • 2 cups basmati rice

  • 1 cup water

    Fine but not great. The vegetables were gross and over cooked by the time the rice was done.

    I made this with no expectations. I didn’t have thyme so I substituted it with oregano. I didn’t add as much salt, because I’m pre-diabetic and other things, but let me tell you. This rice was on point, funny thing is it could have just used a pinch more salt, but that was completely my fault. Nonetheless it was still amazing, will be definitely cooking this again.

    My family love that recipe
    This was not very good. It made a lot of rice that we ended up throwing out. I followed the recipe exactly, smelled great! The taste was very bland, even after adding double the seasoning. I also added additional chicken broth and butter, but the rice still wasn't flavorful. I was very disappointed. I made this for my husbands birthday, he was definitely more disappointed. I don't believe I'll even attempt this again.
