    It was a great base and so happy to have had it - as I tasted it I just started adding spices here and there basically a little of all the suggestions as it turned out even better! Thank you for sharing!!

    Very good, just seemed like it was missing something. I added extra salt and pepper and it made it great.

    Turned out great! Made some minor changes - there seemed to be too many vegetables for the amount of broth so I added an extra two cups of broth (mixed beef, vegetable and vegetable bouillon cubes). Didn't have stewed tomatoes so I used 4 fresh italian tomatoes and almost a full jar of tomato paste. Substituted the celery for parsnips, and added more pepper, a bit of ground mustard, onion salt, full onion instead of half and 3 cloves of garlic instead of two, as well as two bay leaves and about a quarter cup of italian dressing. I later mixed two portions with two different cream soups (one was just a can of mushroom soup, and the other was this one, I believe, https://www.food.com/recipe/cream-of-carrot-soup-59155?ftab=reviews)

    Delicious! I made some minor changes but definitely was delicious and hearty! Changes: 1/2 sweet 1/2 red onion (=1 full onion) 2 tablespoons (tbsp) minced garlic 1 vegetable bouillon cube for stock Sub thyme for oregano 1 head green AND 1 head red cabbage 1 can tomato sauce Added ingredients: 3 potatoes 1tsp fresh grated turmeric 1 cup dried red lentils

    I enjoyed this so much I made it twice
    Good. Added Italian seasoning & bay leaf to give more flavor & kicked it up a notch with a couple of dashes of Tabasco sauce.

    This is a great cabbage soup recipe that is quick & easy. You can "bend" it a number of directions according to your own preferences. I like some snap so I added a little Chipotle paste and didn't use all the broth which turned it into more off a stew.

    Very delicious, filling soup. Don't like celery so I put in a green apple, which tasted very good. Didn't add extra salt which was fine. Did add some chiliflakes for that extra punch. Served with some bread, very nice.
