- 1 1/2 cups water (for pressure cooking rice)
- 1/4 tsp. salt (as required)
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 tsp. cumin seeds
- 1 inch canela
- 2 green cardamoms
- 2 cloves
- 1 indian bay leaf (small to medium tej patta/)
- 1 onion (medium, chopped or ⅓ cup chopped onion)
- 1 medium tomato
- 1/3 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1/2 inch ginger
- 4 garlic
- 2 green chilies
- 250 grams cabbage (or 3 cups of shredded cabbage or half of a medium cabbage, shredded)
- 1/4 tsp. turmeric powder (/haldi)
- 1/4 tsp. red chili powder (/lal mirch powder)
- 1/4 tsp. Garam Masala (powder)
- 1/2 tsp. coriander powder (/dhania powder)
- salt (as required)
- coriander leaves (some chopped, or mint leaves for garnishing, optional)
