- 1 carrot (large, 1 cup peeled and grated)
- 1 onion (medium, 1 cup, finely diced)
- 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 3 cups rice (cooked, Select Jasmati Rice)
- 1 cup rice (uncooked, Select Jasmati Rice with 1 Tbsp unsalted butter and ½ tsp salt)
- 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. sesame oil (this gives the rice an authentic Asian aroma & flavor)
- 1/4 tsp. salt (or to taste or no salt at all!)
- 1/8 tsp. ground black pepper (freshly, or to taste)

Great dish, easy to make and simple ingredients, my husband and I liked it, I will add it to my favorites.

Even though it has a lot of cabbage in it it doesn't really dominate the dish. It is wonderful! The whole family loves it and I have made many times already!
