- 2 Tbsp. ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp. ground flax seed
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. water
- 1 tsp. coconut oil (plus extra)
- 1 apple (large, peeled and cored)
- 1 tsp. spice blend (hawaij, divided)
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup (divided)
- 1/2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
- 2 cups rolled oats (certified gluten-free if necessary)
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. fine sea salt
- 2 1/4 cups non dairy milk (I used a mix of coconut and almond)
- 1 cup nuts (or seeds of choice, toasted and chopped, I used pecans and hazelnuts)
- 2 Tbsp. cashew butter
- 2 Tbsp. pure maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp. non dairy milk
- 1 pinch fine sea salt
- 1 drop vanilla extract
