I made this tonight and topped it with vanilla ice cream and drizzled with the extra sauce. I also made my crust homemade. I used 2 granny smith apples and 2 jonathon apples to balance sweet and tart. My husband said it was the best apple pie he ever had. My daughter who normally doesn't like apple pie said she loved it. The bourbon sauce really adds to it. The only thing I would change next time is that 4 apples weren't enough. It probably needed 6.
