- 1/4 cup water (or apple juice)
- 3 apples (medium, peeled and diced)
- 2 Tbsp. scotch whiskey (optional)
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce (thin)
- pinches salt (generous, omit if using salted caramel like Simple Salted Caramel Sauce)
- 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 2 cups whole wheat bread flour
- 1/4 cup potato flour
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 0.5 oz. lecithin (soy granules)
- 1/4 cup jaggery (crushed, or coconut palm sugar, brown sugar can be used too)
- 1/2 Tbsp. instant yeast
- 1 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 oz. tallow (or butter)
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup milk (I used 1%)
- 1 egg (beaten with 2 tbsp water, for egg wash)
