- 1 liter vegetable oil (or as needed for deep frying, see notes)
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1 tsp. paprika (each:, Cayenne Pepper, White Pepper, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Salt)
- 2 1/2 cups plain flour
- 1 Tbsp. paprika
- 2 tsp. oregano (each:, Baking Powder)
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt (plus extra to sprinkle at the end)
- 1 tsp. onion powder (each:, Garlic Powder, Cayenne Pepper)
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper

Love this- have made it dozens of times.
I substitute 1 cup of flour in the coating for breadcrumbs

AMAZING!!!😍😍😍 Marinate it overnight, if you can't, its fine. Make sure to season heavily and USE BUTTERMILK. Search for a recipe on youtube. Ita basically just mill and acid (e.g. lemon or vinegar) I also added my own seasoning though, you might want to do the same. Idk if it said it in the recipe, but make sure to season the flour. Take the chicken out of the marinade, flour it, dip it back in the marinade, flour it again and then deep fry it for the best results. Its a really good recipe but it mainly depends on how well you season it. I used: salt black pepper, white pepper, chilli powder, hot paprika, a little garlic powder, basil, parsley, oregano and something called Maggi but you can just use chicken seasoning. How much you put depends on what you want it to taste like e.g i put lots of chilli powder because i like spicy things.
