  • 1/2 cup vegetable shortening (solid)
  • 1/2 cup butter (or margarine – softened)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (or water)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 pound sugar (box 10X)

    Directions

    1. Cream shortening and butter together.
    2. Add milk, vanilla and 10X sugar.
    3. Add the sugar a little bit at a time. Blend really well.
    4. To turn the above icing into chocolate butter cream, add 3 ounces of melted unsweetened chocolate and 1 T. more of milk.
