Ingredients

- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening (solid)
- 1/2 cup butter (or margarine – softened)
- 2 Tbsp. milk (or water)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 lb. sugar (box 10X)

Directions
- Cream shortening and butter together.
- Add milk, vanilla and 10X sugar.
- Add the sugar a little bit at a time. Blend really well.
- To turn the above icing into chocolate butter cream, add 3 ounces of melted unsweetened chocolate and 1 T. more of milk.
