This salad was great. My wife asked me to make it again before she even finished her meal.
I did make a couple of modifications. Since neither of us care for raw celery, I left the celery out of the dish. Also, I didn’t have fresh dill on hand so I used dried dill weed. Of course I only used 1/3 of the amount fresh dill would have been. Also, I ground the dried dill in a mortar and pestle prior to adding it.
I thought the step of putting the chick peas in the hot oil was a great idea, ensuring the chick peas were coated.

Im so glad I found this recipe. I like this style of chick pea salad for potlucks and parties, because its simple and one everyone enjoys.
