- 1/4 cup black tea leaves (good, black tea is technically translated as "red tea" in Chinese; this'll help if you're fumbling with Chinese tea packages, as we were!)

- tapioca pearls (Black, aka Bubbles aka "Boba", 1/4 cup per glass)
- 3/4 cup half and half

I like it without bobas/bubbles, so it's really just a milk tea. :) I usually don't have half and half on hand, but always have heavy cream and normal milk, so I mix in ¼ cup heavy cream and ½ cup 2% milk or lighter. We use any tea we have on hand, even green tea.
